SKIMS launch new 'ultimate bush' thongs people are branding 'disgusting'

If you thought her nipple bras were too much, Kim Kardashian's new SKIMS underwear has people threatening to 'call the police' over how 'disgusting' they are. The Kardashian business mogul has launched a brand new style of thongs for her new collection and it's safe to say they are certainly jaw dropping.

The 44-year-old star introduced the Faux Hair Micro String Thong, which features a "a mix of curly and straight faux hair in twelve different shade variations," as described on the SKIMS website.

With many asking if it's a joke, shopperscan snap up the knickers for £34 ($32) after the brand announced the collection on Instagram with a playful 1970s video game show style campaign. "Just Dropped: The Ultimate Bush," the caption reads. "With our daring new Faux Hair Panty, your carpet can be whatever color you want it to be."

The video prentends to be a game show called "does the carpet match the drapes" in reference to the fake pubic hair on the pants, and SKIMS have called them the "most daring panty yet" but it's left people confused over why they have designed the thongs with faux hair.

Many people are asking why Kim is selling Merkins, a pubic hair wig, used mostly now in film sets for naked actors, however they were first historically used to conceal diseases like syphilis or hide shaved areas.

While another fan chimed "I pay good money to get waxed, you mean to tell me some people would pay to put it back ON??" And another simply said: "I'm calling 911."

A third wondered about the washing of the pants and asked: "Do we wash this in the washer or use shampoo and conditioner lmao." And a fourth penned: "This definitely takes the cake on the worst thing I’ve ever seen."

However some people are calling it a "marketing genius" as it's a definite way to get people talking about the brand and onto the SKIMS website.

The new statement range comes after Kim launched her controversial nipple bras in 2023. Kim announced her SKIMS Ultimate Nipple Bra in a quirky promotional video starring herself. The video shows Kim sitting in a beige-themed office at a 90s-style computer. She types away with her hair up in a only tail and glasses on her face. The focus of the video is Kim's chest, where the bra's built-in nipples stand proudly at attention.
